The Glyntawe Centre is nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Brecon Beacons, offering comfortable, self-contained, self-catering accommodation. Whether you’re planning a group getaway, a family retreat, or a peaceful escape, our welcoming facility provides the perfect setting.

Our accommodation caters for up to 35 guests and includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, ideal for self-catering or catered meals. Guests can also enjoy our festival tent, BBQ area and state-of-the-art drying room, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Ground Floor

The ground floor offers a variety of dormitory accommodations to suit different group sizes and needs. It includes four well-arranged dormitories, thoughtfully designed to maximise comfort and convenience for our guests. View our floor plan.

Entrance

The entrance to the centre is secure with a coded keypad entry to ensure maximum security to those that are using the centre. 

Dining Room

Our spacious dining hall is conveniently located opposite the kitchen and can comfortably seat up to 35 guests. Designed to accommodate both small and large groups, it provides a welcoming space for communal meals, social gatherings, and group discussions. With ample seating and a warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to enjoy delicious meals, share stories, and unwind after a day of activities.

Kitchen

Our commercial kitchen holds a 5-star hygiene rating and is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. Facilities include:

  • 8-ring gas hob
  • 3 ovens
  • Large fridge and freezer
  • Commercial dishwasher
  • 2 microwaves
  • Large serving hot plate
  • 2 toasters
  • Cutlery and utensils to cater for 35+ guests

Whether you’re self-catering or preparing meals for a group, our kitchen ensures a seamless cooking experience.

Wet Rooms

Our ground-floor facilities include one accessible bathroom and five wet rooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide convenience, privacy, and comfort for all guests. These wet rooms serve the downstairs dorm rooms and the two upstairs rooms. 

The Wet Rooms include:

  • Shower

  • Toilet

  • Sink with hand soap

  • Toilet roll provided

  • Hand-drying paper towels

Please note: Shower gel and other toiletries are not supplied. 

Room 11

This dorm room is designed for comfort and practicality making it an ideal space. It features four sturdy beds, arranged to maximize space while maintaining a cozy atmosphere. Durable bunk beds ensure a good night’s sleep, while ample storage space allows for easy organization of personal belongings. 

Room 10

This dorm room at is furnished with two sturdy bunk beds, providing comfortable and practical sleeping arrangements for up to four guests. The bunk beds ensure a restful night’s sleep after a day of outdoor activities. Each bed is equipped with a supportive mattress, offering a cozy retreat. The layout of the room maximizes space, allowing for easy movement and organization of personal belongings. 

Room 9

This dorm room features two sturdy bunk beds, comfortably sleeping four guests. Designed for durability and convenience, the beds provide a cozy retreat after a day of adventure. With a simple space-efficient layout the room ensures a restful and practical stay.

ROOM 8

The larger dormitory on the ground floor and can comfortably accommodate up to six adults. It is equipped with three spacious bunk beds. The room has been designed with both comfort and practicality in mind and is the largest dorm room at the centre. 

First Floor

The first floor provides a variety of amenities and sleeping arrangements to suit different group needs. At its centre is our spacious common room, designed to accommodate up to 35 people. Common Room

Our common room, located on the first floor, provides ample seating for up to 35 people and features a comfortable sofa for added relaxation. This inviting space is equipped with a range of amenities for guests to enjoy, including:

Room 1

This is the first of our newly refurbished suites, designed for comfort and convenience. Featuring two single beds and a double pull-out sofa, it comfortably accommodates up to two adults and two children. With a spacious layout and upgraded amenities, this suite provides the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Room 2

This newly refurbished room features one single bed and a large adult-size bunk bed, comfortably accommodating up to two adults and one child. With its spacious layout and modern amenities, this room ensures a relaxing and enjoyable stay for all.

Room 3

This well-appointed room features two full-size adult single beds, offering comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to two guests. With a thoughtfully designed layout, it provides a relaxing and restful stay.

Room 4

This room is a cosy single room, thoughtfully designed with one adult-sized bed. Particularly popular with teachers and group leaders, it provides a private and comfortable space to unwind and relax after a busy day.

Room 6

Room 6 is our first room with a newly refurbished ensuite, offering a simple yet comfortable stay. Featuring two adult-sized single beds, it provides accommodation for up to two guests, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a cosy and restful space.

Room 7

Room 7 is one of our spacious ensuite rooms, thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to four guests comfortably. It features one adult-sized bunk bed and two single beds, making it an excellent choice for teachers or group leaders. The room also includes a large private bathroom, offering added convenience and privacy for a comfortable stay.

Shared bathroom

The first floor includes a shared toilet, shower and bathroom providing convenient facilities for guests staying in non-ensuite rooms.

Outdoor Spaces

Newly added in 2024, our spacious festival tent provides a sheltered space for gatherings, meetings, and fitness sessions—free for all staying guests. Additionally, our BBQ area features three fixed, safety-designed BBQ pits, perfect for outdoor cooking and socializing.

DRYING ROOM

We have a 32 square meter state of the art purpose built drying room. This facility is absolutely fantastic for drying clothing after wet Welsh adventure. This facility is available to every group for a extra charge. This drying room a secure room which can hold a large number of bikes, canoes or kayaks.
