Located in Merthyr Tydfil, BikePark Wales is a purpose-built downhill mountain bike park with world-class trails, jump lines, and skills areas suitable for all abilities. The uplift provides mountain bikers with just the thrill of running downhill trails all day. Bikepark Wales is the best Bikepark’s in the UK.
- Afan Forest Park – Approx. 25 miles
Known for its diverse trail network and natural terrain, Afan Forest Park features everything from flowing singletrack to steep descents, making it a favourite for both casual riders and adrenaline seekers.
- Brechfa Forest – Approx. 35 miles
Situated near Carmarthen, Brechfa offers a variety of cross-country trails through beautiful Welsh woodland, ranging from gentle family rides to more technical challenges.
- Cwmcarn Forest – Approx. 40 miles
Offering a mixture of cross-country and freeride trails, Cwmcarn caters to different skill levels and is known for its scenic routes and well-maintained trails.
- Coed y Brenin Forest Park – Approx. 75 miles
Widely regarded as one of the UK’s top mountain biking destinations, Coed y Brenin offers a range of trails from beginner-friendly green routes to expert-level black and red runs, plus technical features and pump tracks.

- Usk Reservoir – Approx. 15 miles
A tranquil spot nestled in the western Brecon Beacons, Usk Reservoir offers peaceful cycling routes around the water, surrounded by rolling hills and forests.
- Talybont-on-Usk – Approx. 20 miles
Located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Talybont-on-Usk is a popular base for cyclists, offering access to the Taff Trail and the GAP route which is one of the most remote large rides in the Brecon Beacons.
- Elan Valley – Approx. 45 miles
