Local Walks

The Brecon Beacons National Park offers hundreds of miles of varied walks and some of the most breath-taking views in the UK.

Whether you want to develop your navigational skills, or a leisurely walk taking in the scenery, our instructors have extensive local knowledge and can provide a safe and enjoyable experience through this stunning landscape. As well as our guided walks, we can also include field studies for schools, including geology, bio-diversity and river studies.

Craig-y-Nos

Craig-y-Nos Country Park offers a variety of scenic walks suitable for all ages and abilities, set within 40 acres of picturesque woodland and meadow. Well-maintained paths meander through peaceful landscapes, alongside the River Tawe and around the ornamental lakes, making it a great spot for a relaxed stroll or a gentle family walk.

Canadian Bomber Walk

The Canadian Bomber Walk in the Swansea Valley leads to the poignant crash site of Wellington Bomber MF509, which tragically went down on 20 November 1944 during a training mission, claiming the lives of six Canadian crew members. Located on the slopes of Carreg Goch in the Brecon Beacons, the site features scattered wreckage and a memorial marked by a Canadian flag, offering a solemn tribute amidst the rugged beauty of the landscape.
