How do I get to Glyntawe Outdoor Centre?

Our centre is in Glyntawe, in the Swansea Valley and is in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Directions and transport information are available here. We also provide transport options for group bookings if needed.

Is parking available at the centre?

Yes, there is ample parking available on-site for visitors, we have 9 carpark spaces. We recommend carpooling for larger groups to minimize environmental impact and space. We do have more parking available please get in touch to discuss. 

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is typically from 3.00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need flexibility with your check-in or check-out times, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Can I bring my dog?

We welcome well-behaved dogs, but please check with us in advance regarding specific restrictions and rules if you are bringing a dog. Our dog policy can be found here.

Is there a minimum number of people required for booking?

There is no minimum number of people required but we’ve structured our pricing based on groups of 20 or fewer to ensure that small groups cover the minimum cost of running the centre. The more people you bring the lower the price per person as a group of around 20 guests typically covers our operational costs.

If your group consists of fewer than 20 people you’ll have exclusive use of the centre, which has a capacity of 35. This is reflected in our pricing structure. However, you are welcome to bring up to 20 people to reduce the per-person cost.

Is there Wi-Fi available on-site?

Yes, and it’s FREE.

We do have fibre optic WI-FI on a mesh system around the centre, this means you get speedy wi-fi free of charge while using the centre. However, please be aware that mobile phone signals may be weak in certain parts of the centre.

Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

We offer luggage storage for guests before check-in or after check-out, allowing you to explore the area without carrying your bags. Please contact us for more details. 

Can I book a group or corporate event at Glyntawe Outdoor Centre?

Absolutely! We specialize in group bookings, including team-building events, school trips, and corporate retreats. Contact us for tailored packages to suit your group’s needs

Are the facilities accessible for people with disabilities?

We strive to be inclusive and offer accessible facilities for individuals with disabilities. Please contact us before booking to ensure we can accommodate your specific needs.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer flexible cancellation policies depending on the terms of your stay. Please review our terms and conditions or contact us for specific details related to cancellations.

Do you require a deposit?

We do require a 20% deposit to secure a reservation and another to cover potential damages. When you confirm your booking an invoice will be sent to secure the deposit. 

What activities do you offer at Glyntawe Outdoor Centre?

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, bushcraft, mountain biking, and more. Activities can be tailored to suit different levels of experience. To book these please get in touch.


Facilities Questions 
What facilities are available at the accommodation?

Our accommodation options include communal kitchens, bathroom facilities, heating, and a comfortable lounge area for guests. Specific amenities are listed in the accommodation section of our website.

What Kitchen facilities do you have?

To see what facilities we have in our kitchen please go to the accommodation page and click kitchen. 

We do not provide condiments such as oils or salts for cross-contamination and hygiene reasons. 

What types of accommodation are available at Glyntawe Outdoor Centre?

We offer a range of accommodation options including dorm rooms with bunkbeds to individual rooms upstairs. We also have 3x en-suite bedrooms that are perfect for families. Each option is designed to offer comfort and a unique accommodation experience.

Can I request extra bedding or towels?

Yes, additional bedding can be requested for a small extra charge, particularly if you want to be extra comfortable during your stay. Unfortunately, we don’t supply towels and cannot provide these for your stay. 

Do you provide Bedding?

We do provide bedding included in the prices so there are no hidden costs. You will be asked for your room allocation upon balance request this way we can make sure the number of beds made for each room is correct.

What should I bring for my stay?

For a comfortable stay, we recommend bringing outdoor clothing, personal toiletries and any special items you may need. We do not provide:

We offer luggage storage for guests before check-in or after check-out, allowing you to explore the area without carrying your bags. Please contact us for more details. 

Do you have meeting or event rooms?

You can hire our facility for a meeting or events, normally our common room gets used to utilize the large TV to enquire about availability and pricing, contact us.

Do you offer family-friendly accommodation?

Absolutely! Our accommodation is family-friendly, and we can arrange child-friendly activities during your stay. Family groups will also find the outdoor spaces are a great option for entertaining children.

Can I book the centre for the day only and not the nights?

Yes of course our Day rate is (use of centre without overnight stay)-£200

Access to Common room with 63” screen, Dining room and Kitchen free Wi-Fi.

Access starts between 9 am-5 pm if needed outside of these times please contact us before booking.

Are there catering services at the centre?

We offer catering options for groups and events, including packed lunches and hot meals. Catering needs to be booked in advance, please head to our Catering Page for more details. Please inform us of any dietary requirements in advance.

Do you provide breakfast or meals with the accommodation?

Meals are available upon request. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for groups, and can also arrange packed lunches for you.

Is there a restaurant or bar on-site?

We do not have an on-site restaurant or bar. There are two pub in walking distance – head to our things to do page for local pubs and restaurants.
