Who is Western Beacon Mountain Rescue?
Western Beacon Mountain Rescue is a team of highly trained volunteers who provide rescue and emergency support in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The team responds to mountain rescues, searches for missing persons and assists with medical emergencies in rugged terrain.
Comprised of individuals with expertise in navigation, first aid, climbing, and searching techniques. The Western Beacon Mountain Rescue is always on call to assist hikers, climbers and outdoor adventurers who find themselves in distress.

We also provide information on how to contact the rescue team in case of an emergency.
2. Fundraising and Support.
As a volunteer organization, Western Beacon Mountain Rescue relies on donations and fundraising to maintain its equipment, training and response capabilities. Glyntawe Outdoor Centre proudly supports their efforts by subsidising the use of the accommodation giving them a base to train from. We also receive donations from visitors which go directly to the rescue team.
